Ecuador, Cuenca, 1989 Poeta migrante queer, performer, gestore cultural y activista por la justicia social. Su trabajo artístico ha sido premiado por Voices of Our Nation Arts Foundation, Poetry Foundation, Hemispheric Institute of Performance and Politics, Creative Time, entre otros. Junto con Reyna Grande, Sonia editó Somewhere We Are Human. Authentic Voices on Migration, Survival, and New Beginnings. Y recientemente el poema "Runa in Translation", que también es parte de este libro, fue publicado en la antología Daughters of Latin America. An International Anthology of Writing by Latine Women, editada por Sandra Guzman. Fundó House of Alegría, un espacio que impulsa el trabajo de artistas (in)documentadxs, migrantes, queers, trans y no binarias. Ahora prepara su nuevo chapbook, titulado #Papifemme, y está trabajando en su libro de memorias, Alegría. Nostalgia y fronteras fue autopublicado originalmente en inglés, en 2016, y va por su sexta edición.
